Band signups and the online tournament are now closed

Sorry if you missed your chance but band signups are now closed and the online tournament is over. Bands that have already entered will be playing tonight on Reggie's stage.

Tickets are still available for sale online until 4pm on the Tickets page. They're also available at the door. Doors open at 6:30pm.

Chicago Loot Drop <3s ChiTAG!

We'll be at the Chicago Toy And Game Fair this weekend, playing Rock Band, taking donations, selling tickets, and teaching people about how we're spreading the joy of gaming to Comer and its patients.

Drop in on ChiTAG at Navy Pier this weekend to see what's happening in toys and games. While you're there, stop by Chicago Loot Drop at booth 621 to hang out, rock out, and power on!

Premium Instruments!

Ever looked at the Fender Precision Bass Replica or Ion Rocker Electric Drum Kit and drooled a little? We'll be featuring both these instruments at the competition Sunday night!

If you've been anxious to try these marvelous contraptions, gather your friends and sign up now to compete!

Less than a week left

Only six days to go. Come see minibosses rock Reggie's Rock Club for Child's Play and Comer Children's Hospital!

Online ticket sales will end at 4pm on Sunday. Tickets will still be available at the door.

Band signups end at 11:59pm on Saturday and the online tournament ends at noon on Sunday. So move quickly if you and a group of friends want to play on stage.

Video? We don't need no stinking video.

The video requirement for qualifying your band to play on stage at Reggie's in the Rock Band 3 tournament has been a bit more of a roadblock than expected. To fix that, as of today, it's no longer required. However, it is highly encouraged.

Now that entry is ever easier, don't hesitate any longer to register for the tournament: Band Signup.

That's right, friends! Sharpen your axes and reload your guns, Minibosses will be headlining this year's Chicago Loot Drop on Sunday, November 20th at Reggie's Rock Club! These legends of gamecore rock bring your favorite NES game soundtracks to life with the raw energy and BAM! as only a double-guitar 4-man rock outfit could. Minibosses have played at PAX Prime, Defcon and a variety of swanky, geek-friendly venues across the US, but this is the first time in over six years that these four fine fellows have graced a stage in Chicago. So you won't want to miss this rare, retro-game rock experience! This announcement is especially exciting news for our band contestants, as our lucky finalists will be sharing the stage with these legends of gamecore. Minibosses will also be taking the lead seat on our judging panel and determining which of our finalists wins the shiny grand prize! If you haven't gotten your tickets yet, you better! We're expecting a sold out show! To hear a taste of Minibosses' awesomeness, and to pre-order their soon-to-be-released album, Brass 2: Mouth (recorded and produced by Tim Green of The F*cking Champs, Nation of Ulysses and many other artists of note) , click yourself over here. What are you waiting for??! GOGOGOGO!

Don't miss Chicago Loot Drop 2011!

The new site is live and tickets are now available for the Nov. 20th fundraiser at Reggie's Rock Club.

Or enter your band to play in the tournament to compete on stage at Reggie's Rock Club.

Thank you to everyone who came out to Chicago Loot Drop 2010 at Lincoln Hall. Especially the bands. And thank you to everyone who donated online too.

We hope everyone had a great time and that we'll see you next year.

Only a few hours left to pre-purchase tickets

Online tickets will be available until 4pm today. Tickets are also available at the door.

You'll have a chance before the tournament starts to get a group together and play in the tournament.

Band pre-registration closed

We need to get these set lists printed and ready for the A/V folks and I Fight Dragons judges, so we're closing pre-registration.

If you're still trying to get a band together, be sure to show up ready to rock tomorrow. We'll do our best to set you up with other solo acts to make a Rock Band supergroup!
